Blogger on the Loose

My first blog entry ever.  So... um... the purpose of this blog is to have a purpose.  Or rather, that is what I have been struggling with.  A lack of direction - or purposeful goals.  So I am setting out an adventure.  I am 47 and would like to accomplish 50 goals by my 50th Birthday.

My first task is to come up with 50 goals... or at least 20 or so to start with and add more on as I go.  My very first goal is to create a blog.  A lot of my goals will have to do with quilting, sewing, crafting, and Travel because those are the things I am most passionate about.  So here goes...

1.  Create a Blog ~ 09/13/2010 accomplished
2.  See a Space Shuttle Launch ~ 05/14/2010 accomplished
3.  Go to Disney's Epcot Theme Park ~ 05/10/2010 accomplished
4.  Go on a Cruise ~ 05/16-20/2010 accomplished
5.  See the Atlantis Aquarium on Paradise Island, Bahamas ~ 05/17/2010 accomplished
6.  Make a Recipe Book of Family Favourites ~ 09/13/2010 accomplished
7.  Do a Family Photo Shoot & Photo Book ~ 08/29/2010 accomplished
8.  Join a Quilt Guild ~ 09/16/2010 joined Kempenfelt Quilter's Guild
9.  Make a Canadian Patriotic Quilt
10.  Make the 2010 Piecemakers Calendar quilt
11.  Display one of my quilts in a Quilt show
12.  Try at least 50 new foods
13.  Remove at least 50 bags of clutter from my home ~ 11/07/2010 accomplished 50 bags
14.  Create a sewing room.
15.  Learn to do ribbon embroidery
16.  Learn to machine quilt
17.  Crochet an Afghan
18.  Do 50 fun sewing/knitting/quilting projects
19.  Make a Quilter's Journal Book
20.  Sew myself a Fun Apron
21.  Plan for our 25th Wedding Anniversary
22.  Take an Alaskan Cruise
23.  Go on a Mediterranean Cruise
24.  See Paris, Eiffel Tower, Louvre, etc.
25.  Make a collage, experiment with textures
26.  Make a quilt for Charity ~ 10/20/2010 accomplished
27.  Loose 50lbs by age 50
28.  Complete Baseboards and Trim work upstairs, paint doors too
29.  Make Prairie Sampler Block of the Month Quilt
30.  Finish Katelyn's "We Can Build a Snowman" Quilt
31.  Finish Farm Scene Quilt
32.  Finish New York Beauty Quilt
33.  See a Show in Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam
34.  Participate in Kempenfelt Quilter's Guild Tinners Project
